Billy Cotton got his start at the Pratt Institute School of Architecture, where he developed a knack for traditional-style industrial craft. Today, his Brooklyn-based firm focuses on design, architecture, lighting, and furniture. This multidisciplinary approach has evolved into a signature style and ethos—creating highly tailored spaces that embrace a mix-and-match philosophy. Perhaps that’s why he’s become a go-to for art world luminaries such as Lisa Yuskavage and Matvey Levenstein, Cindy Sherman, Carol Bove, and Gordon Terry. In 2022, Billy Cotton released a monograph with Rizzoli.
