Kendall Roy’s Upper East Side Apartment Is on the Market for $29 Million

The plush penthouse made an appearance on Succession this past Sunday

Succession fans, listen up! You can own a wee bit of television history, as the Upper East Side apartment Kendall Roy calls home is currently on the market. It’ll be all yours, if you’re able to cough up the $29 million it takes to own the mansion in the sky (discounted from the $33 million asking price last year). Michael Gordon of The Corcoran Group has the listing. Little brother Roman Roy’s penthouse is also currently up for grabs, for any takers with Roy-level funds at their disposal.

Season four, episode four of the hit HBO dramedy opened on Sunday night with a somber, twelve-second peek into the home of the Roy family’s second-eldest. In real life, the apartment is a bright triplex, located in Carnegie Hill’s tallest residential tower. Developed and designed by Joe McMillan’s DDG, the luxury construction takes design cues from classic New York City pre-war masonry façades. “DDG was inspired by the boom in mid-rise masonry that occurred in the ’20s, specifically, citing the work of Ralph Thomas Walker,” per The Architect’s Newspaper.

With ceiling heights ranging from 13 to 29 feet, the five-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom abode takes on cathedral-like proportions. Arched floor-to-ceiling windows provide spectacular exposure from almost every room in the 5,500-square-foot space, offering views of the Manhattan skyline, Central Park, the East River, and the George Washington Bridge. Visitors enter through a private elevator, which ushers them directly into one of two living rooms. A designated dining room, wet bar, study/guest room, and large eat-in kitchen with a multitude of custom fixtures can also be found on the first floor. Take either an interior elevator or a striking white sculptural staircase to the upper floors to find the primary suite, with a fireplace and curved terrace, and secondary bedrooms connected by an arch-covered loggia.
