When Bottega Veneta revealed an immersive set design by Gaetano Pesce inside a warehouse at Milan Fashion Week to debut the SS23 collection, every corner of the Internet was overflowing with excitement about such a celebratory scene of pure creativity. In addition to making a sculptural resin-coated floor that supermodel Kate Moss strut down on with ease, creative director Matthieu Blazy commissioned 400 original chairs from the Italian design pioneer for attendees to take a seat during the show.

“This space is a tribute to diversity,” Pesce previously stated in a press release about his design for the Bottega Veneta show. “It is about human beings; we are all different. We are all different and this is our defining quality—otherwise we are just a copy. We are all originals and this is one of the themes of my design.”

For those that couldn’t experience the Bottega Veneta installation for themselves, now might be your chance to take a small piece of that saturated world home and create your own special design moment without necessarily building out an entire room full of resin. Though it was previously reported that Pesce’s one-of-a-kind chairs would be sold while exhibited at Design Miami from November 29 to December 4, Bottega Veneta just dropped a selection of the Come Stai? collection on their website.

Each chair is described as being “alike in material but unique in colour and form.” Prices range from $6,500 to $10,900 with shipping and returns included. Not surprisingly, some of the chairs are already out of stock, so you’d better act fast. Three months later and I’m still thinking about this spectacular collaboration so needless to say it gets a standing ovation from me.

But if these colorfully hot seats are way out of your price range, no need to feel embarrassed! Coming Soon has plenty of affordable Pesce pieces up for grabs that will fill the void—some of my favorites include the coasters, trays, and vessels of all shapes and sizes. (While you’re at it, don’t forget to add Out in the World with Gaetano Pesce to your pile of coffee table books too.) While I too will have to sit this one out, let’s just think about how these chairs will soon be out in the world and bringing other people joy somewhere.
