Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Mark Melancon is putting his Florida Gulf Coast home back on the market for $11 million, per Dirt. Melancon built the six-bedroom, nearly 6,000-square-foot home for his wife and children, completing construction in 2020. He acquired the property in the Holmes Beach neighborhood almost five years ago for $1.45 million.
The four-time MLB All Star initially put the residence on the market last year at nearly $15 million, eventually dropping to $13 million before removing it, and re-listing this week for $10.95 million. Now based in Arizona, the veteran Major Leaguer is not able to make use of the house often enough to keep it.
The two-story home mixes traditional and modern styles and boasts high-end designer finishes. Melancon opted for walnut wood flooring throughout. It’s complete with five full and two half bathrooms, with almost every room offering unobstructed views of the sparkling Bimini Bay waters.
