How to Get Away with Murder Actor Karla Souza Swaps Properties in the Palisades

She sold a 1940s dwelling for just over $3 million and picked up a Cape Cod style home for $4.8 million

Karla Souza, best known for her role as Laurel Castillo in the Shonda Rhimes-produced legal drama How to Get Away with Murder, has switched out her Westside Los Angeles pad for another–both in off-market deals, according to Dirt. A few months before the actor sold her 1940s house in Pacific Palisades for just over $3 million, she picked up the keys to her new Cape Cod style home, located just one block away. She paid $4.8 million for her new abode in the fall of 2022.

Souza’s new residence, painted pale green with white trimmings, is tucked away on a quaint 0.13 acres of land. It features four bedrooms and four baths, spanning about 2,900 square feet across two floors. The property is an upgrade in size compared to her other Palisades location, a wood-shingled home measuring in at roughly 1,600 square feet across a single level of living space.

Her new house greets visitors with a walkway through the front lawn leading to a covered sitting porch. The entry hallway flows into a cozy library, featuring a floor-to-ceiling wood-paneled fireplace. A formal dining room, spacious kitchen, and a wet bar-equipped family room fill out the home’s first floor.

Souza’s new primary suite features a walk-in closet and private balcony with ocean views. There’s also a two-way fireplace, connecting to a spa-like bath which includes a soaking tub, dual vanities, and a steam shower.
